Revonah
Hanover, PA. Hand-twisting pretzels since 1935 — the name is simply Hanover spelled backwards. Every pretzel is rolled by hand from an original sourdough recipe, baked in a 70-year-old hearth oven, then slowly kiln-dried over a two-and-a-half day process.

Hammond’s
Lancaster, PA. The oldest continuously operated family-run sourdough pretzel bakery in America, in the same building since 1931. Their sourdough recipe goes back five generations to the late 1800s, and every pretzel is still rolled and twisted by hand.

Martin’s
Akron, PA. Hand-twisted the old-fashioned way since 1935. Each pretzel is briefly boiled before baking in a 550-degree stone-lined oven, which gives them that deep pretzel-brown crust and the uneven, hand-made texture you can taste.
Appalachian Root Beer — Ice Cold, On Tap
Pulled fresh from the tap and served ice cold. Brewed in Harrisburg by Appalachian Brewing Company, this craft root beer is made with pure cane sugar, a touch of vanilla and a delightful blend of honey — and it is both caffeine free and gluten free.
It pours with a thick, creamy head and tastes like old-fashioned homemade root beer. Nothing pairs with a hot salted pretzel quite like it — ask for a cup next time you stop by.

Pequea Valley Yogurt
Rich, creamy yogurt made in Ronks from the whole milk of grass-fed Jersey cows. Started by the Abner King family in 1999 and made at an Amish family creamery, with all natural ingredients and milk that is hormone and antibiotic free.

Kreider Farms Milk & Drinks
Farm-fresh milk, iced tea, lemonade and fruit drinks from a fourth-generation Manheim family farm. The Kreiders have been farming here since 1935 and have bottled their own milk on site since 1972 — they raise the cows, grow the feed, and fill the bottles themselves.

Boylan Soda
A large selection of craft sodas in real glass bottles, made in the USA with pure cane sugar since 1891. Grab a classic signature flavor to go with your pretzel — the kind of soda you remember.

History
Country Twist was started by husband and wife, Nicolas and Joanna Neff Huacani. This isn’t just a business; it’s a family journey that started with Joanna’s childhood adventures at the Farmers Market, working alongside her parents and grandfather, S. Clyde Weaver, at his stand. Inspired by the evolving market scene, Joanna and Nicolas decided to add their twist to the market – literally! This is when the couple decided to open up their own soft pretzel business, Country Twist. Each of their four children grew up and worked in the Farmers Market in various capacities.
In 1991, Joanna spent the summer before they opened trying out new pretzel recipes. But the real impact came one random day when Nicolas, munching on a hot dog, suggested wrapping it in pretzel dough and putting it in the oven. And what happened next? The creation of the pretzel dog. Evolution didn’t stop there; it transformed into the life of the party, appropriately named the ‘Party Dog.’ Most recently their son Matthew and his wife Vanessa have taken over the business as 2nd generation owners. Together they are continuing the family farmer market tradition.
This place isn’t just a stand selling soft pretzels, it’s a place where everyone is family and all are welcome to the Country Twist “table” to eat together. It is especially a great place to enjoy family and friends, and bring happiness while sharing a hot apple cider and a warm soft pretzel.
At Country Twist, we’re not just crafting soft pretzels; we’re crafting memories!
